I certainly didn't when I arrived at Hertz, Calgary on Wednesday morning to pick up my hire car. My credit card company wouldn't speak to me as Roh is the primary card holder and I was so irritated I couldn't remember my pin number to get cash out on debit. 30 minutes later and I paid for my car and was on my way.
After a successful day in Calgary and a very nice dinner I went to my hotel to find out that the room had been given away because the card hadn't worked that morning. Another, older hotel was found 12k out and off I headed.
1st room - well, the bathroom hadn't been cleaned. Let's leave it at that
2nd room - heating on overdrive, technician suggested I opened the window!!!
At that point I threw myself on the bed and howled. To be rescued by the lovley lass on the front desk who upgraded me to a suite with a jacuzzi tub.
Anyway, I have duly signed up for a credit card in my own name, which will earn me aeroplan points too.
I think if I signed up as a student on a course I'd have a better credit rating. What a palava!
Still, clearly it all worked out OK. And it was a good trip to Calgary, even if it didn't do my blood pressure much good in places. You know, I'm not very tolerant of things like this going wrong.
Night all!
