Roh did a collage or two of the house we thought you might like to see... the left hand pics are from the show home.
Well, it's the May long weekend and we've done... nothing! I am exhausted from travelling to Vancouver and Calgary with a couple of all day meetings. I need to pack more conservatively.
I finally did some gardening - I emptied a whole bottle of Roundup on about 1/4 of the garden and there's still LOTS more to go. Still, I also re-potted the poor plants I bought at the start of April. I firmly believe that plants should live outside, in their natural habitat, but when I don't see green for 7 months of the year out my back window I've had to give in. And it means we have a few fresh herbs, as long as I don't over/ under water them.
Gardening here is like learning a whole new language. I have no idea which plants are hardy enough to last through winter. I do recognise a lot of the plants but don't want to risk wasting money for something that will turn it's toes up at the first sign of a snowflake. Besides, we have a whole garden to prepare for and plant in the new place so now's the time to start learning.
Mum asked if we still had snow, I can confirm that it's all gone and we're enjoying sunshine and greenery, there are even tulips out. Our 100 bulbs got decimated by the mice and voles in the field behind us, so we're not sure what we will get, if anything. Still, any colour will be good. I was going to put up a pic taken at 9pm last night, still bright blue sky, but the camera focus was off - trying to take a pic and stop Indy from going outside. I clearly can't multitask! Maybe another time.
A friend of mine kindly pointed out to me that my punctuation is shot. I know this, I had to have special lessons at 6th Form. So please bear with me and enjoy the content and sentiment rather than looking for good English :) I do have to thank Kate for taking a final pass at my Management Research Report which will go in next week. Argh. Argh. Argh.
Roh doesn't believe me but THIS IS IT for College and I am so bleeping relieved.
