Settling in

Well, with all the snow today we didn't get out for long. Roh was magnificient in his clearing of the driveway but sadly another few cms of snow has fallen since then. Still, it's all good exercise.

Skype for contacting mum and Andy is a bit flaky, we get round it by waving on the computer and using either our or Andy's free minutes to speak. That's the problem with being so far around the globe - everyone else is online when we want good bandwitch.

I have made three great discoveries this weekend. Small perhaps in the grand scheme of things but important none-the-less.

1 - Vicky @ Ricci Hair Co! She was great. Perhaps a little over excited about cutting short hair but it seems I am the only woman in the city silly enough not to have it growing past her ears.

2 - Method - We've both been a bit worried about cleaning products etc here because the chemicals here are different to the ones used in the UK (some are banned in the UK) and this seemed like the best option. It also looks funky. The washing smells pretty good too.

3 - I am rubbish at writing html. Hence the warped corners and poor formatting. One day I'll work it out but the general idea is there :-)

Tuesday is Vancouver if we're not snowed off. That would be a poor record as my first trip to Vancouver was snowed off and then Kelowna got cancelled. Still, staying home is always good.
