Who let the English woman navigate?

This week I headed off to Calgary with Kate (Marketing Director, based in Vancouver). We decided that solidarity of females in an engineering company was a good idea. Saldy, that was about as far as it went for good ideas. We arrived on Monday night, hired a car and headed South to downtown Calgary. Then headed beyond downtown, because we were chatting so much and had to turn North to find the hotel rather than West, which was our original plan.

Tuesday morning caused similar amounts of hilarity and confusion. Unfortunately we got a call from the Calgary office at the Northern most point of our journey, back at the airport (note to self: office is South of Calgary).

Luckily the rest of the week passed with little incident other than lost keys, a blizzard (see how casually I threw that in?) and some shopping at the mall. I did warn Roh in advance but he must have forgotten I have an expandable suitcase ...

It was good to get home, I'd missed my boys and they'd all clearly missed me. Even Bracken came to say hello. Today is Pilates, lunch on Whyte and a vist to the organic farmers market to stock up on some essentials and perhaps even buy my belated Christmas present of an iPod.
