Baptised

Sarah: What's the difference between a christening and a baptism?

Aunty Chris: You can't get a card for a baptism...!

We had a lovely day on Sunday with family for Torin's baptism. She was a complete angel, no tears or anything. Apparently Roh cheated and prepared her by taking showers with her so she was used to the water on her head :) I'm hoping our showers are a bit nicer, still... Fr Adrian did a great job, the godparents are wonderful and the readers were fab.

Then back to the house, where the weather improved enough for us to sit outside with our drinks and play pass the parcel, chase and twirly wirly with the girls.

Mum's reading was very lovely too, even Roh enjoyed it!

For the Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life. Job 33:4
For You created my inmost being; you formed me in my mother's womb. I thank You, Lord God Almighty, You are breathtaking! Spirit, soul and body, I am marvelously made! I worship You, Lord God, in adoration—what a creation! I praise You because I am fearfully & wonderfully made; You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; you know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, in my mother’s womb. Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before you, the days of my life all prepared before I'd even lived one day. How precious to me are your thoughts, O God —how rare, how beautiful! I can’t even begin to count them— they outnumber the grains of sand. Oh, let me rise in the morning and live always with you! Ps 139 13-22
