It's positively tropical in Edmonton today, we're at 2 degrees: the snow is melting and the world is turning brown. This didn't happen until March last year. I wonder how long it will last...
We've had a crazy couple of days. Roh's work Christmas do was fun, though I think he could have done without the several nightcaps of whisky and vodka (separately) to chase down the rum and cokes. It's amazing how generous folks get on a free bar.
And all of a sudden it's Christmas day tomorrow and we're sitting here enjoying ourselves. I might even have to light a fire and demand some family time as Roh's currently on his PC, I'm on mine and Brenda is reading. Then, given all the Tubb family Christmases when folks were nose deep in their latest books perhaps some solitary time at Christmas isn't so strange after all. There will be 9 of us tomorrow so chaos will reign, especially with Sarah (nearly 2) coming to keep us on our toes.
I had a slight panic tonight as I realised Bracken's shards box was full to overflowing, not what you want with a 2 year old running around. At least it was before the shops shut and it gave me the unnecessary excuse to grab a few more bottles of wine for tomorrow.
But first to finish with Christmas Eve. The rellys in Australia are already down the pub and well into Christmas day while our nieces in Ireland & the UK are sleeping soundly, dreaming of santa claus and the piles of presents they'll find under the tree tomorrow. Me? I am getting a car starter, I don't have Roh's luxury underground parking and I'm not finishing another winter without one. They say there are 2 seasons in Canada - Winter and construction.
Night all, wishing you much fun tomorrow x
