Firstly some pics of Elk Island - we took the family there after the wedding. Apparently it's usually full of buffalo, elk, moose, beavers etc. but given it was still covered in snow we missed the animals.
Anyone seen one of these?
Still, playing in the snow was fun and I got to finally make a snow angel.
This is what a frozen lake looks like, complete with beach. It was quite weird. We walked out a way and then chickend out as the lake is likely to be thawing.
In Congleton they are doing a competition for the most travelled bear so Rhiannon and Megan are getting shots in to prove it. This is the furry fellas with us at Elk Island.
It's been a busy few weeks, I was straight off to Vancouver on my return to the office, only to cut the trip short because of snowstorms in Edmonton and a need to get home. I was booked on the 5:40 flight and shortlisted for the 4:30, with slim to zero chance of getting on board. Well, mum must have been praying hard as they went through a long list of other stand-by passengers who didn't show. Lucky me! Home in time for tea with a slightly bumpy ride and a safe touchdown.
So hopefully we've had our last snowfall for the year, it's been 19 degrees outside today and lots of sunshine. This weekend I am going to a 'stamping up' party - it's about how to make cards 'n' stuff. More junk - as Rohan would say. Still, now my exams and essays are 99% finished (one re-write to do) I will need something to keep me out of trouble as we don't have a garden of our own for me to play in.
Roh's out at the flix tonight, tomorrow is my night out with the girls - poorly coordinated, I know. So it's time for dinner and some R&R.
