Two continents separated by a similar language often springs to mind, but I was a bit boggled at my latest experience of being looked at completely blankly when I asked for After Sun.
Coppertone, Nivea, L'oreal etc. - all the same brands of sun cream as the UK but NO accompanying bottle of after sun.
I ask myself - are the UK complete mugs or have we identified a niche market that no one else understands? Having not tried to purchase after sun anywhere else I can't comment.
If this was just an Edmonton phenomenon I could perhaps understand it but we got the same blank look when we were in a pharmacy in SF. Hmmm...
