Snow stops UK!

I think I'm still in unsurprised shock to hear that as usual the UK has ground to a halt with a smattering of snow. On Thursday Catriona was delighted to tell me that her school in Woking was closed on the Friday because the roads were too icy. What a great way to start half term. Given I'd driven to work in a small snow storm I wasn't really that impressed.

Just to put things into perspective for you, below are pictures to the left and right of our house - the road is pretty much solid ice and has been since October. The mounds are the collected snow from when the streets were cleared in December and the regular drive and sideway clearing that goes on.

Perhaps I shouldn't find this so amusing... right, off to help Roh clear the drive.
