Well, the heatwave lasted all of about 5 minutes and we're heading back into the cold again next week. Edmonton has turned a sludgy brown on the edges as all the grit they use on the roads appeared after the brief melt. The cars now need washing every 5 minutes but it's so cold that's not possible.
This week was a bit of a disaster as I was holed up with an incredibly sore throat as the result of a virus. Having been reassured by the doctor that it was neither strep or mono (like HOW!) I gave in, plugged my laptop in at home and hid from the world. I'm not quite fully recoverd but at least it no longer feels like I have swallowed razor blades. I'm hoping my trip to Winnipeg this week doesn't give me a setback.
We're both looking forward to some sunshine in the form of a trip to San Fran in 2 weekends time. Roh's there with work so I'm taking a long weekend to visit one of our favourite places and maybe hook up with a few old friends too. You may even get some pictures out of us.
We also did a bit on the wedding planning this week - Roh worked out what we need to do to get a license (so much easier than the flipping UK! I guess living there for 30 years means NOTHING, grrr) and we've arranged to meet the wedding official (Bev) to talk through the ceremony. Hotel rooms are booked for the family and it's down to the last bits of detail, thank goodness.
