That boat feeling...

We've been up since 3am and I'm now sitting what feels like half a world away in a kitchen in Orlando, Florida.

We were lucky to find a fabulous villa owned by folks who live not 10 minutes away from mum :) It really is lovely.

Roh is asleep, Kiran has just cried himself to sleep and Torin is slowly drifting off to the land of nod. I am just writing a brief note while I wait for her to quiet down.

Life is good, really really good. I know it's been 2 years since my last post, I guess that sums up the last 2 years in a way as I've not really wanted to write much. So, if the clue isn't out there we now have 2 scrumptious kids and we're taking a much needed break before I start my fabulous new job in earnest, and Roh heads back to BW to work on a new team, with a role and manager that has great potential.

Roh and I are well. I just think he's fabulous. Sitting at the kitchen table tonight eating Chinese felt great, because I know we'd both prefer to be here than a hotel and it's little things like that which remind me how well we go together.

Anyway, a trip to Florida. 3am wake up, 2 kids up and out by 4:10. No problems at the airport, in fact the border guard was really friendly and didn't mind Torin sitting on his cubicle. Both kids coped really well considering the first flight was about 90% turbulance and seat-belt sign on. Then an hour gap to the next flight and suddenly we're in Florida.

A small cockup on the car hire - I found the only website that Canadians (and US ) license holders can't use and missed that in the detail. Dollar (!) were going to charge me $750 for the same deal (which had cost me $250) and so I DO NOT recommend ever using them. We went to National and they were fabulous. Now just hoping that Car Hire 3000 will give us a full refund...

We were met at the villa by Gary from the management company (lyver) and again are very impressed. They have a welcome pack which includes enough for breakfast and he talked us through everything.

We are going to have SO much fun :D

As for the boat feeling - I'm so frikkin tired it feels like the world is wobbly. Night all
