I'm not doing a great job of this blog updating lark, time just disappears when you have munchkin to look after. Not that I was great before but, hey ho, it's all good fun.
So much has happened this last month. Firstly a new car for me (dk blue Toyota Matrix). That's the boring stuff out the way. Now onto Torin, who is crawling about like crazy. Roh got the walker out one evening, for fun, and she was away! Now, those walkers with wheels are banned in Canada for being a safety hazard - apparently too many kids fell down the stairs in them. Go figure! So it's a little plastic push thing, which Grandma Tubb has just replaced with the swankiest wooden block walker ever! We were reminiscing about the little walkers we'd had as kids, and whaddya know? One turns up in the mail.
It's a bit tricker for Torin, less stable when she pulls herself up. Also, becuase she can crawl through the handle, onto the blocks, she often gets herself stuck or wipes out totally. It's very amusing and I think has encouraged her to be a bit of dare devil. Lots of fun.
On 12 August we had the first showing of the tip of a tooth. Very exciting. It's thinking about making a full appearance but hasn't done as yet.
We're now on countdown to my return to work. Torin starts at a dayhome on Wed next week and I go back the week after. I tried for part time (1 hr less a day) but sadly have to work full time. Luckily both Roh and I have 'core hours' options, so I'll go in early and he'll go in late so we can juggle day care. What I wouldn't give to have mummy living just down the road. Still, she's here in less than 2 months for a visit - wheee.
The little darling fell asleep in her dinner, so better go tidy up. Bless.
