Visitors

Firstly let me explain. Last weekend we had 3 inches of snow, I nearly slid backwards down the one hill in Edmonton on my way to the hairdressers. I couldn't see the IKEA sign at the side of the road. Well, it was a little different this weekend, which is good as we had our first non-family UK visitors :)

V and Dunk are on their tour of Alberta - starting in Calgary (with 25cm of snow arriving as they did) and on to Edmonton, where I was wishing I was in a T-shirt it was so warm. OK, let's talk relativity here, just so you don't get all surprised when Mrs "I'm-Always-Cold" (e.g. me) is wandering around in T-shirts when you all think it's winter jacket time. Having experienced the extreme cold, and with a nuclear reaction going on in my tummy region, I'm permanently warm. It has it's plus and minus points.

We had a fun house warming party on Saturday, there were a few more people than I thought would attend, even including those who ignored my statement that we're not on GPS/ internet yet so directions need to come from me. A fair few still made it and we had a lovely time, it's nice to fill a house when you're still so new to a country.

On Sunday we generally had a mooching day, we took V & Dunk to the Muttart Conservatory, but unfortunately it was closed for renovations so instead we went for a walk. You probably can't really see bump yet, but I know it's there

And this is the Dove from Above, no really it's the peace dove that was errected when Pope JPII came to visit in 1988.
