Gosh, there are so many things I’m just starting to understand. This is like a whole new life!
Bun in the Oven – my stomach couldn’t get any hotter at night time. It’s just ridiculous. Still, at least I don’t have cold feet any more.
And I am soooo hungry. Today I’ve had breakfast, pizza, lunch, cheese toastie, veggie burger & chips and now a bowl of pasta and veggies… I think it’s a growth spurt. I need to sort me out a stack of food for work. I’m off to Winnipeg next week and am going to fill my bag with supplies to keep me going.
Roh is being marvellous, he called me his ‘sexy pregnant wife’ the other day, which is worth it’s weight in gold. I’m already into low slung jeans and off to ‘Motherhood and Beyond’ this weekend to get some trousers and baggy tops. It's so funny already having a stomach. I truly hope it's magnificently big.
The nausea (not morning sickness as it happens all day) is mainly bearable, I'm learning a few tricks. So far I haven’t disgraced myself at work, all helped by Mcvities Ginger Biscuits. Thank goodness for open borders and all the stuff we can get from the UK ;o) Apparently smelling/ sucking on a lemon also helps.
I still miss meat horribly. I’m craving burgers all the time but know I won’t want it if I have one. Still, that should go in 3 weeks and 3 days (not that I’m counting). Apparently it's the body's way of preventing nasty chemicals to get to the baby while it's going through critical development phases. Very clever really.
